In Love with Creel Tackle House & Cafe

I used Grant as a fishing buddy, I loved every minute of it. I am pretty comfortable with my own road and bringing fish home to feed the family. However, I wanted to get to know the river and I didn’t have extra time in my trip to find the secret spots. Grant took me right to them and was able to make a pleasurable trip pretty darn awesome. Thanks Grant – until next time.

Steve recommended a fantastic Fishing Guide to me, He took me to all the great spots, I even caught my very first brown trout. I will be back with a smile on my face. Thanks Guys.

Quick note to say thank you for making my return to Turangi, after decades of being away, extremely pleasant. Buddy fishing, even with a rapidly rising river (recreational release, really?) was exactly what was needed, and you persevered with my woeful technique to get me onto my first Tongariro trout in a long while. Carol’s casting lessons for women were excellent, my wife hooked a fish on her first cast at Stag, we really should have spent more time teaching her how to strike, play and land the blasted animal as well! She is hooked, has a set of ladies wading boots from your helpful team, her own fly gear now and we will be back. Oh, and the cafe is spectacular. Thanks again for your assistance, patience and guidance. Tight lines, Creel Tackle Shop.
