Fishing / Guiding Talk

We have had a wonderful summer with everyone out on the Lake catching extremely good quality fish; although people think it has slowed down, the fish have just gone deeper, so go out to the 55-60m mark, and you will be into them.

As well as lake fishing, the river fishing has been unbelievable, with very high numbers of big browns throughout the river system.

The dry fly action has also been superb all summer.

With Autumn staying warm for so long, we are experiencing a lot of extra dry fly fishing and superb weather.

We are now getting a few fresh run rainbows pushing up the river, and as expected, the size is well above average we are certainly going to be in for a great spawning run this year.

As always, the smaller lakes have performed very well.

The numbers we are catching might be down on Lake O a little, but we are certainly getting more double-figure fish.’

Backcountry

Backcountry has fished better than ever with the lack of internationals around. Our backcountry guiding trips this year have been unbelievable, great sized fish and superb dry fly action.

We have picked up a few very good access points into some great rivers

this will carry on well into May, so it is well worth making the trip over the hill if you are here for a day or two. Or get in touch for some better options.
