Fishing report March 18th

There has not been a lot to report these past few weeks, however we are now seeing/hearing that Rainbows are heading back into the Tongariro and other eastern side rivers.

Good size Browns in the shallows and backwaters on the Tongariro, Western Bay river mouths seeing good numbers of large Browns, small nymphs the order of the day.

The Tongariro has been, shall we say off color for several weeks but gradually returning to normal.

Morning temperatures are cooling rapidly.
