A week ago we saw the river level rise to just over 300 cumecs, the first significant rainfall in a very long time. as expected this drew good numbers of fish into the Tongariro
and other rivers around the Lake, we have had reports of double figure Browns. The Rainbows are mostly in top condition and currently gorging on Green Caddis.
The blue pool rd still closed hopefully to open this coming week this will ease weekend pressure lower down the river.
River level back down to 21.5 cumecs, do not overlook the fast water as we always wax on about, fish those little pockets and backwaters.
